Measuring where you’re at before, during and after treatment is critical to helping you find lifelong recovery. So is providing individualized and measurement-based care. Here’s a look at what to expect:
Admission assessment within first 24 hours of arrival and introduction to individualized clinical team (primary therapist, care coordinator, case manager, etc.)
Stages of Change model
2-4 individual therapy sessions per week
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive processing therapy (CPT)
Motivational interviewing
Family systems therapy and family involvement

Each residential program at Cliffside Malibu delivers a strong foundation of intensive, measurement-based and clinically driven treatment that’s designed to keep patients engaged and help them reach a lifetime of recovery. Here’s a look at our different programs to see what is right for your needs, both rooted in the Stages of Change model:
Premier Program
3 individual therapy sessions/week
1 family session/week (as clinically indicated)
Minimum 2 psychiatrist/addictionologist sessions during detox
Daily primary care physician sessions during detox
Up to 1.5 hours/week of individual CADC counseling and case management

1 onsite group acupuncture/week
